Irene Siddons Mullins, age 91 of Helena, AL went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 02, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ludie Siddons. Mrs. Mullins was an active member of the First Baptist Church Helena where she taught Sunday school for many years. She loved teaching and taught in the Shelby County School Systems for years as well. Irene’s surviving relatives include her loving husband of 70 years, Kenneth Mullins; sons, Phillip Mullins and Kevin Mullins; sister, Billie Friar; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, July 06, 2015 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church Helena with a time to see the family one hour prior to her service. Rev. Greg Walker and Rev. Reid Crotty will officiate with her burial following the service in the Helena City Cemetery.
