Jim was an active member of Montevallo First Baptist Church.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Donna H. Lord; brother, Jay (Josie) Lord; stepsons: Ryan (Mindy) Hermecz, Michael (Brittany) Hermecz, & Mark Hermecz; granddaughter, Rylan Hermecz; & father-in-law, Donald Howard.
Jim was preceded on death by his parents, Dr. J.D. Lord & June Lord and sister, Juney Lord.
Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 3, 11:00 - 12:00 at Montevallo First Baptist Church, with his service at 12:00. Dr. Terry Sutton officiating. Burial to follow later that afternoon at Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Montevallo First Baptist Church "College Fund" or to any (no-kill) animal shelter.
