James Wilburn Walker
February 23, 1931 – March 7, 2023

James Wilburn Walker, age 92, of Montevallo, Alabama was welcomed home to Heaven on March 7, 2023. James was born on February 23, 1931 to James Edward and Ada Bell Walker. He was reunited with his parents, siblings, his loving wife Billie Walker, his beautiful daughter Rhonda (Rick) Mattox and his precious granddaughter Cheyenne Walker.
He is survived by his three sons, Rickey Walker, Robert Walker and Bentley Walker; and one daughter, Madison Cristwell. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren, Celeste (James) McCormick, BJ (Sharon) Walker, Brittany (Allen) Drawhorn, Nick (Kala) Walker, Ashley (Nick) Bradford and Chase Mattox. James was also the great-grandfather to Ashelin Walker, Tucker Bradford, Raegan Drawhorn, Everett Walker, Easton Walker and Haley Walker; and siblings, Talmadge (Dorothy) Walker and Doris Pentz.
A visitation for James will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Hwy 25 Montevallo, AL 35115, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. His funeral service will be Friday, March 10, 2023 at Montevallo First Baptist Church, 660 Main Street Montevallo, AL 35115, at 10:00 am with the burial following at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119 Montevallo, AL 35115, at 11:00 am.
Pallbearers will be Bo Hall, Cory Hall, Nick Walker, Shane Whaley, Jacob Hutter and Tim Hutter. Honorary pallbearers will be Tamela Hutter, Shereen McGiboney, Lorrie Grigsby, Misty Seales, Tammy Shay McAteer and Melissa Williamson.
