Mary "Jean" Woodall Holcombe, age 64, of Calera, Alabama passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Jean was born June 20, 1956 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was raised in Pell City, Alabama along with two brothers. Jean was a life long member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Montevallo, Alabama. She spent the majority of her career working as the secretary for the church. Her father, Reverend Jack D. Woodall, was the pastor of Cross Roads Baptist when Jean was a young girl, and she met her husband Wayne Holcombe in that very sanctuary when they were 17 years old. Jeans life revolved around her children and her grandchildren. She loved them dearly and would do anything for her family.
She will join in Heaven her beloved husband of 44 years Charles "Wayne" Holcombe; parents, Jack D. Woodall and Madeline Stewart Woodall; brother, Jackie Woodall; and son, Chris Holcombe.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her brother, Tommy Woodall; daughters, Ronda Plaice, and Patricia Holcombe; grandchildren, Kristy Hill, Kerry Plaice, Elizabeth Thompson (Jamey), Sarah Frazier, Diamond Holcombe, Bryan Frazier, and Dixie Holcombe; great-grandchildren, Emmalee Hill, and Scarlett Ann Rose Thompson; as well as a host of nephews, cousins, friends, and church family.
