He is preceded in death by his parents, Lando and Alvie Odell Hinton; daughter, Melissa Hinton; and sisters, Helen Parsons and Brenda Kromer. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Smith (Steve) and Melinda "Lynn" Langston (Caleb); son, Johnathon Hinton; 1 granddaughter; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Old Union Baptist Church, 1094 Oakley Station Road, Randolph, AL, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Old Union Baptist Cemetery. Joe Clark will officiate.
