Jerry Wayne was an Alabama native, who grew up running the roads and living on the land; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and driving back roads into the night. His love for travel led him to a career in the military where he spent time in Germany, Panama City, and Maxwell Air Force Base as a mechanic. After Jerry was honorably discharged from the Army he became a truck driver so that he could continue seeing the countryside. He loved taking his sons at an early age to see the great sites, such as the Gulf Coast and Florida Panhandle and numerous other destinations on his long hauls. He never missed out on a chance at quality time with his sons.
Mr. Killingsworth will join in Heaven his loving wife, Linda Faye Killingsworth; his parents, Gene and Molly Killingsworth; sisters, Ann, Louise, Mary Charles and Mildred; brothers, Bobby Joe, Raymond and Russell.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Jack Killingsworth (Tabitha) and Jeff Killingsworth (Emily); grandchildren, Jerin, Kasey, Zayda, Janna, and Lynn; and brothers, Buster Killingsworth, Billy Killingsworth, and Frank Killingsworth.
Jerry Wayne Killingsworth was a strong and independent man who led an extraordinary life and was a role model for his children and his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by every life he has touched.
