Jimmie Ruth Harris

Jimmie Ruth Harris, a devoted and kind-hearted individual, passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on August 24, 1935, Jimmie Ruth was cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her feisty spirit, coupled with her selfless and hard-working nature, made her an inspirational figure to her family and friends.

Jimmie Ruth was a graduate of Montevallo High School, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with love and laughter. She was married to Billy Glenn “Mudd” Harris for 61 wonderful years, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Together, they raised two daughters, Lisa Harris and Kristi Kromer, who, along with Kristi's husband, Heath, and her beloved granddaughter, Nicole, were the pride and joy of her life.

Her personal interests were as diverse as they were delightful. Jimmie Ruth found joy in watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies, tending to her garden, and cooking. She also held a special fondness for the Smokey Mountains, where she found peace and inspiration.

In her final days, Jimmie Ruth was surrounded by the love and care of Aveanna Hospice, and a special thank you is extended to nurse Kat for her compassionate support.

Jimmie Ruth Harris was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Her humorous outlook on life and her ability to bring joy to those around her will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
