

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph "Joe" Pearson, who entered heaven on June 10, 2026, at the age of 67. Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose love for his family was the foundation of his life.
Born on August 24, 1958, Joe lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He was a man of quiet strength and a gentle spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. His presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew him.
Joe was preceded in death by his infant son; his father, Calvin Pearson; his mother, Jane Pearson; and his sister, Pam Higginbotham. Though he deeply missed those who went before him, he carried their memories in his heart and honored them throughout his life.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Toni Pearson, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. Together they built a family centered on devotion, and unconditional love. He is also survived by his daughter, April Whalen, who brought him immense pride and joy and her husband Brandon who he was equally proud of and loved.
His greatest treasures were his precious grandchildren, Bayton and Cheynne. Joe cherished every moment spent with them, celebrating their accomplishments and creating memories that they will carry with them forever. His love, guidance, and gentle presence will continue to inspire them throughout their lives.
Joe is also survived by his brothers, Ray Pearson, Matt Pearson his sister, Ellen Kennedy (Danny) and his brother-in-law, Mike Bell (Cindy) He was a loving uncle to his nephews, CJ Cartee, Jeremy (Kristen) Cartee, Anthony Pearson, and Trevor Bell, and to his niece, Harper Bell, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Joe will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and especially the deep love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and through the family he loved so dearly.
While his family deeply mourns his passing, they find comfort in the treasured memories they shared and in the enduring love he leaves behind. Joe's life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be loved and missed beyond measure.

A Celebration of life will be held at Rockco Funeral home on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 4-6.
The family is asking everyone to wear jeans, t-shirts, and hats.
