Judith DeVore Hunt
June 29, 1948 – January 19, 2022

Judith DeVore Hunt, age 73, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 after battling Alzheimer's. Judith was born June 29, 1948 to Verble Johnson DeVore and John DeVore. She graduated from Ensley High School, Class of '66 and attended Jefferson State Community College. Judy retired from the Veteran's Administration in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a member of Church of the Highlands, Alabaster Campus. She enjoyed reading, Atlanta Braves baseball and Auburn football. She was a generous Christian lady, and devoted wife, mother and Mimi.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; stillborn daughter, Amy Valenti; brothers-in-law, John L. Barkshadt, Johnny Garrison and Hugh Allen Latta; and mother-in-law, Helen Hunt. She is survived by her husband, David Hunt; daughter, Andrea Booth Schulz (Eric); grandchildren, Ariel Renee Booth and Cassie Marie Booth; sisters, Delores "Naomi" Barkshadt, Janice Garrison and Joyce Latta; brother, David DeVore (Gail); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and father-in-law, Paul Hunt.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115. The family requests any memorial donations be directed to Alzheimer's Association of American at www.alz.org.
