Kathleen Smith Reynolds

Kathleen Smith Reynolds, age 91, of Montevallo, passed away January 1, 2017. She was born in Chilton County to Harley A. Smith and Lettie Morris Smith. She married Eugene Byrd Reynolds and moved to Montevallo in 1950. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Shelby Baptist Medical Center for many years. She was an avid reader and loved to write poetry. Most important to her was her faith and family. She will be greatly missed by her family and church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Letty Reynolds Whisenhunt; siblings, Lonzy Smith, Louise Mills, Bid Smith, Charles Smith, Joyce Killingsworth, and Marcelle Harris. She is survived by her sons, Bruce Reynolds (Dovie) of Montevallo, Keith Reynolds of Montevallo, and Charles Reynolds (Anita) of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Heather Reynolds, Katherine Reynolds, Sara Holton (Ashton), Katie Reynolds, and Chase Collins; great-grandchildren, Gus, Peyton, Preston and Ellie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2:00PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with visitation to begin at 12:30PM. Bro. Tim Driskell will officiate and burial will follow at Reynolds Cemetery.
