Lesley was the epitome of an amazing wife, deeply loved by her husband, Charles “Farish” Lambert. Their marriage, celebrated on August 30, 2013, in the intimate setting of her parents’ living room, was a testament to their enduring bond and devotion.
A graduate of Brookwood High School, Lesley balanced her career with her passion for family and friends. She opened her home to many children over the years, always ready to share her warmth and generosity. Known for her beautiful singing voice, Lesley served as a music minister at multiple churches, where she led worship with grace and joy.
Lesley had a special affection for her nephews, John Collin Smith and Oliver Gideon Smith. On days when Lesley needed to spend time with the oldest, John Collin, she would call and say, “I need a Colley Day”. She delighted in giving everyone a little gift bag and was known for her heart filled with love, especially for kids. Lesley’s love of all things Disney was evident in her home, reflecting her joyful spirit. She did enjoy watching television and binge-watching “true story” movies.
Lesley was a woman of grace and beauty, always dressed to the nines, embodying elegance in every aspect of her life. In the hospital, spa days were a cherished ritual, where her husband, Charles, had to quickly learn the art of pampering: manicures, pedicures, lotion from head to toe, and hairdos that reflected her personality. Even in her final days, Lesley’s spirit shone bright.
Above all, Lesley’s love for the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. Her faith guided her actions and inspired those around her. She lived her life with purpose, embodying the teachings of love, kindness, and service. Though she bravely battled anxiety, pain, and disabilities, those struggles are now behind her. Lesley is now at peace with Jesus, surrounded by eternal love.
Lesley was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Glenn Smith, and her grandparents, Cleve Smitherman, Joyce Smitherman, and Alton McAfee.
Lesley is survived by her husband of 11 years, Charles “Farish”; her parents, Terry and Pam Smith; sister-in-law, Amber Smith; cousins, Courtney Epperson, Stephanie Smith, Jennifer Smith, and Brian Smith; uncles, Gary Smith and Perry Smith; grandmother, Virginia Ruth McAfee; and mother-in-law, Margaret Hall, as well as many cherished family and close friends.
Lesley’s memory will forever live on through her beautiful voice, her generous heart, and the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted family member, talented singer, and a woman who truly loved others.
A celebration of life for Lesley will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Randolph, Alabama at 11:00 am.
