Linda Jean Armstrong

Linda J Armstrong was born June 11, 1947 and passed on June 26, 2019. She is survived by her daughter Wendy Lang (Paul); granddaughters, Heather Lang and Haley Scorby (Andrew); great-grandson, Logan Lang; sister, Patricia Manasco; sister-in-law, Gina Jones (David); and her best friend of 54 years, Aliene Walker; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She is joined in passing by her husband Robert Armstrong; brother, Michael Crawford; mother, Nell Seale Crawford; and father Johnie Mac Crawford.

Linda lived her best life by loving her family with her whole heart and soul. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband, Robert, of 47 years. Her passion for family allowed her to raise her daughter and granddaughters with more love than humanly possible. She was dedicated to homemaking which brought her much joy. She created home-cooked meals to share with family and friends as well as tended to her flower garden. The beach and ocean brought her love and comfort throughout her life even in her final days.

A celebration of life will be held at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo, Al. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm with a service to follow at 5:00pm on Saturday June 29, 2019. Burial service will be held Monday, July 1, 2019 at Alabama National Cemetery at 11:45 a.m. Mrs. Armstrong will lie in state an hour before burial at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo)

In lieu of flowers the family ask for potted plants or donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
