

Lindsey was a talented singer and musician. She graduated from Chelsea High School in Chelsea, Alabama and began her undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama in Birmingham on a scholarship in vocal performance. Lindsey graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in vocal performance at the University of North Florida. Lindsey performed numerous solos and choral tours throughout the U.S. and Europe. She taught voice and piano lessons to children in various academy’s and private studios. In 2016, Lindsey founded Girls Rock Birmingham where she held workshops and showcase series and hosting events throughout the city. Lindsey was the Choral Director at St. John’s Cathedral Choristers in Jacksonville Florida 2007-2011.
Lindsey was very adventurous and free spirited as she loved camping, hiking and exploring many national parks and wilderness areas across America. She had a happy, joyful and upbeat personality and her love and talents had a profound impact on everyone she met.
Lindsey is survived by her daughter Juniper Aldridge of Chelsea; parents David and Connie Lindsey Woolley of Chelsea; Brother, Jonathan Woolley of New York; Grandparents Emmett and Cindy Lindsey of Gadsden, Alabama; Carolyn Woolley of Matthews, North Carolina and a host of family and friends.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her Grandfather Reese Woolley of Birmingham, AL; Grandmother Mary Hammonds Lindsey of Jacksonville, AL.
Visitation for Lindsey Shante will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 1:30pm to 2:00pm at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo, Alabama 35115, with funeral service immediately following at 2:00pm.
