Mary Ruth Furline

Mary Ruth Furline, age 86, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025. Mary was a long-time resident of Calera, Alabama. She loved her family and her church, and she enjoyed gardening, crafts, and playing cards.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Mitzie Wheat (Henri); grandchildren, Wendy Cremer, Justin Wheat (Brittney), Lynn Webb (Adam), Angela Connell, and Johnnie Collum (Hollie); 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She also loved and attended to the needs of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Furline; daughter, Patricia Collum; parents, Rance and Ludie Johnson; siblings, Kenneth Johnson, Billy Ray Johnson, and Linda Harbin.

The family would like to thank Aveanna Hospice of Pelham for the care and compassion they showed Mary and her family.

A visitation for family will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Hwy. 25, Montevallo, Alabama. A graveside memorial service for all will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 11:30 a.m. at Rock Springs Cemetery, 31424 Hwy. 31, Calera, Alabama. The service will be officiated by Joseph McDonald, Chaplain with Aveanna Hospice of Pelham.
