Mattie Frances Ingram, age 81, of Maylene, Alabama passed away on Tuesday January 22, 2019. Mattie was born January 27, 1937.

Mattie will join in Heaven her husband of 25+ years Roy Ingram; children, Willy Benton, and Mattie Sports; grandchildren, Bryan Whitfield, Charles Daniel Woods Jr, and John Benton; her infant great grand daughter; and her parents Murphy Carnley and Mattie Mae Wilkerson.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children; James, Dorothy, Gilford, Ilene, Wylene, Jackie, Macy, Becky, and Billy; 31 grandchildren; 57 great-grand children, 17 great-great grand children; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mattie was a strong, compassionate woman; she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in this world and did anything she could to insure they were cared for. as she grew older she enjoyed staying home in her cozy pajamas and doing crossword puzzles. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family, and all those who knew her.

A private visitation will be held at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo, Alabama, to pay respects please contact the family.

She will be missed by so many. She will always be my heart and my soul. I’ve got to spend 42 years of my life with her. And now she is in heaven with my brother Daniel. She has my brother now to look after her and take care of her. It brings me peace knowing that they have each other now. I love u with all my heart grandma RIP my love.
