Milan Ray Lowery, age 65, of Alabaster, Alabama died December 4, 2015 at his home. Milan was born June 3, 1950 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a University of Alabama graduate and served in the US Army, from which he was honorable discharged with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Milan worked as an accountant for SONAT for 26 years, followed by most recently working for the Birmingham Housing Authority, until he recently retired. Milan was preceded in death by his father, Horace W. Lowery; his wife, Patricia Ann Hassell Lowery, and his brother, Terry M. Lowery. He is survived by his mother, Lois W. Lowery; brother, Ronald W. Lowery (Donna); sons, Terry P. Lowery (Karen), Todd Lowery; grandchildren, April DuPriest Ondo (Josh), Sarah E. Lowery, Austin P. Lowery; and a host of other family. The Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Rockco’s Funeral Home in Montevallo, Alabama.
