Nina Carroll Thomas Hallman, age 68, of Akron, Alabama, passed away on February 27, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Calera with Hospice Care and her daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doshie Thomas and Heston Thomas; son, Michael Wayne Smith; siblings, James William, Junior, Curtis, Helen, Charles, and Betty. She is survived by her daughters, Regina and Glenda; grandchildren, Kayla, Casie, Terry, Christopher & Patrick; and siblings, Bessie Mae, Larry, Chester and Kenny. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, with her service to begin at 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park, 5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
