Priscilla Ann Whitten

July 28, 1943October 7, 2019

Priscilla (Pam) Whitten, a longtime resident of Cobblestone Creek, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7 after a long, courageous battle with ALS. Pam faced her struggle with great humor and humility, ever bolstered by her strong faith. She passed at home at age 76 peacefully with her son, Jim, and daughter, Lori, by her side. Pam had enjoyed the constant company of her loving family and friends the last days before her death. In addition to her children, she is survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Janice and William Pate, and grandnephew, Joseph Davis. At a geographical distance, but always close in her heart, were Clark and Martha Whitten and their three daughters (Heather, Wendy, and Beth). Friends—Charlene Eastis, Ardella Johnson, and Tonya Shelton—greatly lightened Pam’s burden of living with ALS, tending to her bodily needs with gentle and trustworthy hands and good humor. Pam was predeceased by Jim, her loving husband of 35 years. Their children are forever grateful for the love, support, and sacrifice that lifted and launched Jim and Lori into the world, with the hope that they can be worthy of their parents’ pride.

My dear sweet angel Pam. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. You brighten my days. My days are empty without you. It was a joy, helping taking care of you. As much as I miss you, I’m glad you are dancing again. I just love your family. You were so proud of Lori Ann and Jimmy. They are wonderful children.
I love and miss you so very much. Until we meet again.
