Randy Lee Ray

Raised in Calera, Alabama, Randy spent his school years in Calera, building the steady foundation that would carry him through life with quiet courage and a calm, patient strength.

Randy shared three years with his loving wife, Amanda. He was a devoted father to sons Chrisopher Ray (Briana), Andrew Ray (Heather), and Devin, and to daughter Emily. He was also a proud grandfather to Violet and Karson, and his love for his family remained at the center of who he was.

In everyday life, Randy’s hands and heart were rarely still. He had a gift for making something out of anything approaching each task with practical ingenuity, persistence, and care. He found joy in the casino, motorcycles, fishing, and exercising, and his adventurous spirit showed in the way he embraced the open road, the water, and the simple satisfaction of staying active. Music of all genres was a constant companion, and those who knew him will remember how his humor could lighten a moment and how his bravery and patience steadied the people around him.
