

Throughout his life, Reese was a dedicated and loving husband, father, granddad, brother, uncle, and friend. Mr. Woolley was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church, Hoover, AL and attended First United Methodist Church, Clanton, AL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reese L. Woolley, Sr.; mother, Azalea Worley Woolley; and sister, Martha Virginia W. Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn
Woolley; and sons, Edward Woolley (Cynthia) of Monroe, NC; and David Woolley (Connie) of Chelsea, AL; six grandchildren, Lindsey W. Aldridge; of Chelsea, AL, Madilyn Woolley of Monroe, NC, Michael Woolley of Rock Hill, SC; Bradley Woolley of Monroe, NC, Jonathan Woolley of Birmingham, AL, and Ellis Reese Woolley of Monroe, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Piper Fendley Woolley and Juniper Azalea Aldridge. His sisters are Patricia Medley (Ray) of Crestview, FL and Phyllis Holcombe (Ken) of Huntsville, AL and a brother, Randolph Berry Woolley, Sr. (Jane) of Look Out Mountain, TN and nieces and nephews.
Reese graduated from Montevallo High School and attended the University of Montevallo. His work experience was in the healthcare field and spanned a fifty-year period specializing in building and alterations and energy management. Reese was associated with University Hospital & Hillman Clinic, Brookwood Medical Center and Outpatient Care Center in Birmingham, AL. He is a past member of the healthcare section of the National Fire Protection Association, American Institute of Plant Engineers and Alabama Society for Healthcare Engineering. Mr. Woolley completed numerous advancement schools, seminars, success motivation institutes and conferences while in professional management positions and was the recipient of many awards and honors. In February 2009, he was nominated and elected by his peers and leaders for the SCA Service Hero Award for 2009. Reese regarded this acknowledgement as an early “Lifetime Achievement Award” since it was several years prior to his retirement.
The family will receive friends at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a memorial service following at 2:00pm on January 6, 2016 with Reverend Michael Russell officiating. Lindsey W. Aldridge will be rendering two musical selections honoring her grandfather. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, nephews and friends. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Methodist Children’s Home, Selma, AL in care of Bluff Park United Methodist Church, 733 Valley Street, Hoover, AL 35226.
