Ronald “Ron” Dennis Batte, age 80 of Montevallo went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Ron was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Montevallo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Laverne Batte. His surviving relatives include a loving wife of 59 years, Mary Louise Batte; daughter, Karen Renee Beane (Ed); sons, Steven H. Batte (Susie) and Edward A. Batte; brother, Kenneth Batte (Carri); five grandchildren, Jennifer L. Blankenship (Luke), Robin M. Massey (Adam), Ashley S. McCoy (Jimmy), Megan E. Cigelske, and Steven Aaron Batte (Megan); seven great-grandchildren, Samantha, Skyler, Sidney, Jordan, Gavin, Brayden, and Jewel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM for friends at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel with service to follow at 1:30 PM. Committal Service will be at 2:45 PM with military honors at the Alabama National Cemetery. Rev. Allen Foster will officiate his services.
