Rosa Lee Allen

Rosa Lee Allen, went to her eternal home on Sunday, March 27, 2022 to live with Jesus. She was a resident at The Health Care Center of Buck Creek. She was born on September 29, 1929 to Rufus Allen and Verlin Hall Allen.

She worked for several years at Alabaster Plastics, being one of their first employees. She then went to work at Southern Life and Health Insurance Company in Birmingham, AL, where she retired from.

Rosa Lee was a lifetime member of Siluria Baptist Church, where she worked in the church nursery until she felt she could not give her babies the care they needed. She loved all those babies as if they were her own babies.

Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William, Eugene and Clifton Allen; two sisters, Sue Johnson and Beatrice Massey; brothers-in-law, Hubert Massey and Joe Page; sisters-in-law, Margaret Allen, Estelle Allen and Pat Allen; and three nieces, Linda Jackson, Judy Massey Lewis and Janice Thompson Brannon. She is survived by two sisters, Kayrene Page and Burnis (John) Smith; six nephews, Pete (Sheila) Allen, Allen (Annette) Massey, Tony Page, Mike Thompson, Randy (Dawn) Allen, Billy Joe (Kimberly) Page; eight nieces, Jane (Carson) Vick, Jean (Dan) Bishop, Sandra (Marvin) Hancock, Brenda (Fred) Ledford, Rita (Al) Rodriguez, Vickie (David) Carson, Lynn Page, and June (Ricky) Story; many great-nephews, great nieces and cousins.

A visitation for Rosa Lee will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Siluria Baptist Church, 10696 Hwy 119, Alabaster, AL 35007.

Rosa Lee will be laid to rest in Dargin Cemetery, Calera, Alabama. Bro. Michael Brooks and Bro. Gary Jones will be conducting the service.
