Sandra Kay Echols, age 65, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away on Tuesday December 24, 2019. Sandra was born April 7, 1954 to J.W. “(Dub”) Short and Geraldine Short. Mrs. Echols service will be Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00 am at Community Baptist Church in Maylene. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am also at Community Baptist Church. Bro. Paul Armstrong will be officiating. Burial will follow at Helena City Cemetery.
Sandra is survived by her father, J.W. “Dub” Short (Glenda); brother, Gary Short (Belinda); sister, Rhonda Johnson; daughters, Dawn Smith (Mike), Stacy Amick, and Sonya Thompson (Stephen); grandchildren, Kayley Thurber (Justin), Zach Echols, Hannah Whitehead (Logan), Ryan Acton, Josh Acton, Savannah Echols, Brianna Thompson, Tyler Mathis, Will Amick, Garrett Amick, and Hunter Thompson; great grandchildren, Laiken and Leila Whitehead, and A.J. Echols; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Curtis “Buddy” Echols, Jr.; and son, Derric Echols.
