Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, David Glenn Lunceford and Helen Goodwin Lunceford; brothers, Mike Lunceford and Donald Lunceford; and sisters, Paulette Shelton and Carolyn Tucker.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Layton, Jr.; sons, Lonnie Layton (Carla) and Tommy Layton; daughters, Tammy Stansell (Ben) and Dana Boykin; grandchildren, Zac Stansell (Jessica), Taylor Layton, Kylie Stansell; Ashlyn MacQueen (Ian), Levi Layton, Max Waldrop, Micah Layton, Landon Waldrop, Peyton Boykin, and Macie Boykin; great grandson, Leo Stansell; brother, Larry Lunceford (Twig); sisters, Kay Reed and Marlene Cross (Leon); sister-in-law, Lisa Lunceford; brother-in-law, Gary Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon was always on the move, whether shopping, playing Bingo, spending time with her family or travelling with her husband. Her favorite time of year was shopping on Black Friday to spoil her family on Christmas Day. She was famous for her homemade dressing and potato salad. She was a member of Dogwood Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowship with her Sunday School Class.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Private family time will begin at 5:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with burial to follow at Shelby Memory Gardens. Bro. Todd Burr will officiate.
