Susan Pierce Crim

Susan Pierce Crim, age 71, of Calera, Alabama, passed away December 21, 2017. She loved hummingbirds and always put nectar out so she could sit on the porch and watch them. She was an animal lover, and spoiled her two rescue dogs, Harley and Jessie. Susan was very creative, repurposing items into art and furniture. No matter who they were, she loved everyone and she was well loved in return. She will be best remembered for her sweet smile. She was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle who raised her, Ethelene and Clarence Cooley; brothers, Billy Frank Pierce, Bibbs Pierce and Sugie Pierce. Left to treasure her memory are her husband of 41 years, Johnny Crim; daughter, Tammie Tubbs (Jadie); sons, Scott Weaver (Melinda) and Steven Weaver (Carol); grandsons, Brandon Gilbert (Beth), Bradley Gilbert (Erin), Cody Weaver, and Shane Weaver; great-grandchildren, Lucas & Alyvia Gilbert and Aria & Ollie Gilbert. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with the funeral service to begin at 12:30 PM. A committal service will follow at Alabama National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
