Rev. Terry Gene Palmer

Rev. Terry Gene Palmer, age 66, passed away at VA Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 16. Terry served in the U.S Navy during Vietnam but his greatest service came serving his Lord through pastoring several churches in central Alabama. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Mims Palmer; daughter Elaine Palmer Sparks (Mark) and son Christopher Nathan Palmer (Jessica); six grandchildren Aidan Harper, Noah Palmer, Adalee Palmer, Andrew Sparks, Anna Sparks, and Levi Phillips; two brothers Jerry Palmer (Brenda), Jeff Palmer (Michelle); two sisters Carolyn Ledford, Linda Mae Bishop (Gary); two brother-in-law Billy Joe Sammons, Bobby Sammons (Fran) and sister-in-law Brenda Hughes (Johnny). The visitation will be held at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo on Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 5:30-8 pm, with funeral service held at Montevallo First Baptist on Thursday, Jan. 21. at 11am. Burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery at 1:15.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Montevallo First Baptist Church College Music Fund, or to the Gideons International.
