William Robert (Bob) Long, age 83, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025. He was born in Benton, Tennessee to Charlie and Minnie Long. Bob was a veteran of the US Army before settling in Alabama to start his own business and raise their young family. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster.
Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara Long; children, Kevin Long (Erica), Kristen Howell, and Kara Long; and grandchildren, Jamie Loren Howell-Hill (Cody), Landon Howell, Erin Long, Juliana Howell, and Owen Long.
A visitation for Bob will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, AL 35115, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in a private family service at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
