William Virgil Osburn, age 69, of Jemison, AL passed away on February 28, 2019. He was born March 1, 1949 to Clifton Pryor Osburn and Mary Gallops Osburn of Selma, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clifton D Osburn; and sister, Tena Joy Osburn.

Mr. Osburn was survived by his wife, Mary Osburn; daughter, Angela (Gary) Sherwood; 3 grandchildren, Victoria Osburn, William A. Osburn, and Brayden Sherwood; 1 great-grandchild, Lyla Osburn; and numerous nieces and nephews and adopted family members.

He will have a graveside service at Alabama National Cemetery on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at 11:45 am. Mr. Osburn will have a visitation Monday March 4, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). He will lie in state an hour prior to service time at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo).

I'm very sorry to hear of Will's passing. He was a Cedar Drive, Selma, neighbor and one of my brother Ronald's best friends. I still remember the dune buggy that he built from a 58 Chevrolet.

He was funny,smart and he new how to make people happy he was there for me when I needed him the most he will always be here with us in our hearts love you pawpaw I know your watching over us from above I remember everytime you took us out to eat you would always make someone smile you will always be with us

Daddy always said he would wait for his first great grandchild and he did just that. He held Lyla and told her how much he loved her the day she cam Home from thw hospital. He wanted her to know he would always look after her and keep her safe even if it was from heaven .
