Alma Jean Gainey, 89, born August 12, 1936, in Alabama, passed away on June 26, 2026. Alma Jean lived in Alabama, Alabama, and will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gainey, and four sisters: Ruth, Julia, Willie Drew, and Mary Edna.
She is survived by her son, Wesley Gainey; two grandchildren, Cary Gainey and Justin (Amy) Gainey; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Gainey and Beau Gainey. In the lives she touched and the family she cherished, Alma Jean’s legacy continues with quiet strength and lasting meaning.
