Angelyn Blackwell Pentz, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on July 1st, 2026. Growing up with two brothers, she developed a fierce resilience and a tough spirit that guided her throughout her life. In her youth, she was an outstanding athlete, shining on the softball field and later on the bowling lanes, while a deep love of music persisted in her heart. She chased that love.
Throughout her life, she played with countless bands and musicians, big and small. She left an indelible mark on those she entertained and those she loved.
Through it all, she became a fantastic and loving mother to her son. She taught him how to play guitar and sparked his own love of music—the best gift a mother could give.
Angelyn is survived by her son, Ryan; her brother, Gary; and her nieces and nephew, Macy, Mandy, Cori, and Cody
A Celebration of Life will be held at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109, US, on July 13, 2026, at 11:00 am.
