Anita Russell, 94, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010. Mrs. Russell was born in Jefferson County Alabama on November 24, 1915. She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Anita Berg; parents, Louis W. and Annie E. Russell; sister, Annie Estelle Mercer; and three brothers, Elbert Russell, Louis Russell, Jr., and Jack Russell. She is survived by one grandson, Jonathan Richardson of Montgomery; sister, Eleanor Dozier of Troy; brother, Carl Russell (Martha) of Montgomery; sister-in-law, Julie Russell of Montgomery; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Autumn Place Assisted Living in Millbrook and Merrywood Lodge Nursing Home in Elmore for their loving care and concern. She had a lot of “Shugas” at both facilities.
