

Annegene was born in Aberfoil, Alabama on November 17, 1935. She was known for the love of her family. She loved being involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her cherished traditions was making chicken and dumplings every Sunday after church, and everyone was always welcome at her table. She had a way of making everyone feel like family and was truly a grandmother to all.
If there was a ballgame, school event, or recital she was there. As long as she was able, she faithfully supported her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in every activity, celebrating their accomplishments and encouraging them every step of the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Davis, her parents, Hugh N. and Mary Will Blue, her siblings, Mary DeFee Amos, Hugh D. Blue, Johnny Blue and Billy Blue, step-son Wayne Davis.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Cindy) and Randy Davis, step-son Danny (Lydia) Davis.
Her grandchildren, Mendi (Chad) Vandervort, Judd (Whitney)Davis, Ashley Page (Brad) Smith and Chad (Ashlee) Davis. Her great grandchildren Brady, Gray, Hudson, Addison, Ebbi, AnnaClaire, Laney and Lucy. Her beloved sisters, Rebecca Biggs, Helen (Don) Baggett, Frances Blue, sister-in-law Becky Blue and special niece, Mona Russell. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that loved their "Aunt Gene".
A graveside service will be held Thursday July 23, 2026 at 11am in Greenwood Cemetery with Steve Housley officiating.
Grandsons and great grandsons will be pallbearers. Family and Friends visitation will begin at 10 AM Leak Memory Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Pilots for Christ, P.O. Box 707, Monroeville, AL
