

A visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 12:00 PM at University Church of Christ, 5315 Atlanta Hwy., Montgomery, AL 36109, followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM. Services will conclude with a burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
Barbara was born on October 27, 1941 in Soddy Daisy, TN. She was the oldest of three children. After graduation from Soddy Daisy High School, she attended college at Alabama Christian College where she met Hue Don Norris. They were married on November 24, 1960. They celebrated 61 years of marriage this past November. She was a homemaker and for 15 years ran a licensed in-home daycare. She grew up playing softball and was a phenomenal pitcher. She played for a city church league until she was 60 years old. She loved to sew and made many dresses for her daughters and for others. She also loved to travel and she and Hue Don visited all 50 states over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Clinton and Mildred Smith and survived by: her husband of 60+ years, Hue Don Norris: their daughters, Aleen (Paul) Anthony, Donna (Ronnie) Blevins, Tammy (Doug) Black, and Terri (Chuck) Cone; their grandchildren, Madison Anthony (Brandon) Mallette, Makenzie Anthony (Steven) Thomas, Makaila Anthony, Tyler (Bree) Blevins, Tabitha Blevins (Kody) Aldridge, Reed Black, Hudson Black, Alexis Cone (Everett) Honaker, and Anna Charles Cone: as well as their great grandchildren, Knox Blevins, Hendrix Blevins, Wrynlee Blevins, Ellie Honaker. Mrs. Norris also leaves behind her siblings, Sonny (Janie) Smith, Brenda (David) Smith and many other special relatives.
Pallbearers will be Reed Black, Hudson Black, Brandon Mallette, Steven Thomas, and Everett Honaker.
Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Anthony, Ronnie Blevins, Doug Black, Chuck Cone, Tyler Blevins, and Kody Aldridge.
