Belinda Richardson was born into this world in Montgomery, Alabama, on October 24, 1953, and, in the early hours of April 5, 2019, she shed her mortal cloak and all of this world’s cares to rest in the Bosom of Abraham.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Rabren. She is survived by her adoring husband of 45 years, David; five children, Daniel (Sarah), Benjamin, Bethany (Tony) Tucker, Andrew (Rebecca), and Joshua (Brittany); 27 grandchildren; mother, Betty Rabren; brother, Wayne Rabren; a large extended family; and a host of friends and honorary children and grandchildren who loved their Momma Bea.

Belinda was a follower of Jesus Christ, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a mother figure to dozens, and a long-time homeschooling pioneer and advocate. Belinda was a very active and faithful member of the church of Christ in Wetumpka, Alabama, having worked and worshiped with that church for 25 years. She also organized several health food co-ops in the Montgomery area for more than 30 years. She was the best cook that most of us knew; her spaghetti, shipwreck casserole and custard pies were second to none. Over the years, she cooked hundreds of meals for those who just moved, were ill, or whose loved ones had passed. She loved to read, spend time with family, work with the church, listen to music, sing, and tell stories about how she fell in love with David and raised her children.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Belinda at the Wetumpka Church of Christ, 408 W. Bridge Street, Wetumpka, Alabama, Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Family will receive visitors from 1:30 p.m., and the funeral is at 3:00 p.m. There will be a graveside service immediately following at the Georgia Road Church of Christ Cemetery, in Wetumpka, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Belinda's memory may be made to Apologetics Press, 230 Landmark Drive, Montgomery, AL 36117; Wetumpka Church of Christ (Missions Fund), 408 W. Bridge Street, Wetumpka, AL 36092; and Memphis School of Preaching, 3950 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, Tennessee.

Belinda was truly a faithful, dedicated child of God who leaves a legacy of service to Him, her family, friends and fellow Christians. The love and devotion to her family and their welfare was paramount to her. She will be greatly missed, but knowing that she is in that eternal resting place of the saved, no doubt is a sustaining comfort. You all are in our daily prayers. May God bless you.

I was just thinking and talking to my sister about Belinda a couple of days before she passed. I was going to make a potato recipe she gave me and showed me how to prepare when I found out that she had passed. She was a wonderful cook we prepared this dish for a church event we had at Wetumpka Church of Christ. We worked together so many times helping with different events helping others. That is what I remember about her the most and how much she loved the Lord and her family. She will be missed.

David, Belinda and I had so many memories I don't know where to start. She and I spent time when David was in the Coast Guard. with Daniel and Benjamin. We also cleaned up a trailer for David in Oldsmar, FL. I got the job of cleaning the stove which was a disaster. remember her and David's wedding and how beautiful it was. She was such a sweet and kind person. I know she will be truly missed. She will no longer have to suffer. Her Lord and Savior will be taking great care over her. Belinda, I love and miss you so much. David, you and your loving family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless ya'll.
