

Belle Phelps Graydon, 93, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on December 26, 2020 after a brief illness surrounded by her family at home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 2:00PM at Siloam Baptist Church cemetery in Rutledge, Alabama with Chaplain Ron Beckham officiating. Mrs. Graydon loved God, her family, flowers and working in her garden. She was also a longtime member at Chisholm Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Graydon touched many lives, and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Graydon; parents, Irby Wilson Phelps and Ursie Kelley Phelps; and seven siblings, Ila Phelps Owens, Ira Phelps, Iva Phelps, Earl Phelps, Robert Milton Phelps, Margaret Colleen Phelps and John David Phelps. She is survived by four children, Anita Graydon, Donald Mark Graydon (Barbara), Karen Graydon Browning, Blair Graydon (Velda); two sisters, Rebecca Phelps Mobley and Lillian Phelps Bell; ten grandchildren, Marion Graydon Lambertus (Wesley), Kate Graydon McGee (Theo), Jeb Graydon (Bonnie), Kelsey Graydon Walsh (Zach), Jackson Graydon, Jennifer N. Parham (Jay), Jamie Browning Renfroe (Matthew), Jeremy Browning, Seth Newton (Erin), Perry Graydon; and sixteen great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Browning, Seth Newton, Jackson Graydon, Perry Graydon, Wesley Lambertus, Theo McGee, Matthew Renfroe, Jay Parham and Zach Walsh. Honorary pallbearer will be Major Jeb Graydon. The family would like to thank the Amedisys Home Health team and Hospice team, Dr. Michael Karst, Dr. Scott Sims and Baptist South hospital staff, for the wonderful care they gave to Mrs. Graydon. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to Chisholm Baptist Church in memory of Belle Phelps Graydon.
