

Ben was preceded in death by his parents; Benjamin Ware, Sr. and Gladys Ware; his first wife; Christine Ware, a grandchild; Bethany Prescott and by his brothers and sisters.
Ben is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Jo Ann Ware of Brantley, AL. He is also survived by his children; Sharon Ware Kelly of Gulf Shores, Lisa Ware Chumney of Deatsville, Robin Ware Lazenby, Jackson, MS, Stephen Prescott, Robert Prescott, Timothy Prescott and John Prescott of Brantley, AL.
His grandchildren include: Carey Flowers, Brandy Kodya, Breanna Brock, Paul Lazenby, Saul Lazenby, Zachary Kelly, Owen Kelly, Alex Prescott, Megan Prescott, Danielle Prescott and Mackenzie Prescott. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Ben worked in many roles at the Montgomery Advertiser for thirty years. He was a good husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family dearly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with a public visitation one hour prior to service at Brunson Chapel United Methodist Church located at 6087 Old Brantley Luverne Rd. Brantley, AL. 36009. Pastor Dave Marnell and Rev. Wesley Spivey will be officiating. Pallbearers will be: Carey Flowers, Ethan Flowers, Stephen Prescott, Robert Prescott, Timothy Prescott and John Prescott.
