Bertie Nello Hutchison

Bertie Nello Hutchison was born on March 2, 1938 and departed this life surrounded by his wife and children, on April 28, 2025 following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Hill Hutchison and Frank Nello Hutchison and his sister, Elizabeth Hutchison Seale. In 1999 his first love, Bonnie Cowart Hutchison, lost her battle of many years with cancer.

Bert is survived by his wife, Betty Roberts Hutchison of Montgomery and a beautiful collection of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His children are two sons, Patrick (Dianne) Hutchison of Grady, Brian Hutchison of Pike Road, and one daughter, Linda Swain (Shane) Bowden of Pike Road; three step children, Chuck (Janet) Roberts of Wetumpka, Scott (Rocio) Roberts of Maryland, Suzanne (Billy) Pope of Pike Road; seven grandchildren, Andrew Hutchison, Blake Hutchison, Troy Swain, Chase Hutchison, Tyler Hutchison, Cameron (Heather) Swain, Hollis Bowden; six step grandchildren, Rachel (Zeke) Pigg, Julianna Pope, Matilyn Pope, Logan Roberts, Sophia Roberts, Coby (Ashleigh) Sexton; three step great grandchildren, Collins Pigg, Baker Pigg, Morgan Sexton.

Pallbearers are Chuck Roberts, Billy Pope, Blake Hutchison, Troy Swain, Cameron Swain, and Coby Sexton. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Roberts, Tyler Hutchison, Andrew Hutchison and Chase Hutchison.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alabama Sherriff's Youth Ranch or your favorite charity.

Visitation for Bert will be held Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. Followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 2:00 PM. A graveside will follow at 4:00 PM at Forest Home Cemetery, 7582 Forest Home Rd., Forest Home, AL 36030.
