Born in Montgomery County to Cecil W. McNeill and Elizabeth Scaife McNeill. Betty is survived by her daughters Deborah Collins Kimbro (Bob) and Robyn Collins Nix (Rick), her granddaughter Stephanie Kimbro Vaught (Craig) and great grandchildren Grant Dean and Blake Dean as well as her beloved pet Piper. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Walter R. "Buck" Collins, her parents Cecil and Elizabeth McNeill, and her sisters Katheryn Franklin and Gwen Guthrie.
Betty was a devoted and longtime member of Eastmont Baptist Church serving faithfully in the choir for many years and enjoying the Forever Young Ministry.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend. To know Betty was to love her!!!!!
A visitation for Betty will be held Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 3:00 PM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109.
