Betty Carolyn Schroter Cox Dawkins, died during her 77th year surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Clara Maness Schroter and Fred “Serg” Schroter. Betty was a long time member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and upon its closing she moved her membership to Whitfield United Methodist.
She was devoted to serving God and helping others. She was a loving mother and proud grandmother. Her greatest joy was being “Granny” and spending time with her 7 grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She is survived by her son, William Michael Cox (Tori); daughter, Cindy Casteel (Mike); grandchildren, Scott Calhoon (Lauren), Michael Calhoon (Gwendolyn), Charlie Casteel, Bailey Casteel, Dylan Cox, Matthew Cox and Ryan Cox. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
Services for Betty will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11 AM at Whitfield United Methodist Church with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
