Betty Calloway Gray

Betty Calloway Gray, 91, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Funeral services will be Friday, March 31, 2023 at Leak Memory Chapel at 11:00 AM with Robert Sells officiating and visitation one hour prior to services. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Gordon Gray and her parents Frank and Lillie Calloway. She is survived by her children Leigh Lachney and husband Robert of Montgomery, AL, Donna Godfrey and husband Tommy of Gulf Breeze, FL and Gregory Gray and wife Selena of Prattville, AL, grandchildren Carter Lachney and wife Mary, Lauren Phillips and husband Scott, Emileigh Burke and husband Kenneth, Haleigh Gray and Molly Williams and husband Caleb, great grandchildren Landon Peek, Elizabeth Gray Lachney, Grace Phillips, James Phillips, Abby Lachney, Katherine Lachney and Henry Phillips, sisters Reba Strength, Sara Narmour and husband Wes, and Polly Willis and husband George, brother Dan Calloway and many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Joyce Gilchrist of Answer Prayer. Pallbearers are Tommy Godfrey, Carter Lachney, Robert Lachney, Wes Narmour, Rance Reehl, and Caleb Williams. Mrs. Gray was a dedicated employee of South Central Bell for over 40 years and an active volunteer with Telephone Pioneers of America Alabama Chapter where she was also a past president.
