Betty Ruth Nabors

Betty Grantham Nabors, 97, passed away April 26,2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Burr Nabors, Jr., parents William Jeremiah Grantham and Pearl Enfinger Grantham, daughter-in-law Margo Nabors ( Buddy), brothers Jack and Howard Grantham, and sisters Sue Quick, Peggy Doren, and Sarie Ready.

She is survived by her son Burr Nabors III (Buddy), daughter Beverly Sherer (Chris), granddaughters Sydney and Emma Kate Sherer, grandson Richard Cook, sister Pat Walker (Estus), and a host of nieces and nephews. Betty was born in Dale County, Alabama, and was a long-time resident of Montgomery. She attended Massey Draughton Business College and was a bookkeeper.

Although she grew up in the Baptist church, was a long-standing member of First Presbyterian Church in Montgomery. She loved and served the Lord with an unwavering faith. Betty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is remembered for her beautiful smile, sweet spirit, servant heart and wit.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation at 1:00. Reverend Scott Pierce of First Presbyterian Church of Jasper, Alabama, will officiate. Special thanks to the staff at Lakewood Senior Living of Jasper and Walker Baptist Hospital.
