

Betty Joyce Parrott, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Betty was born December 18, 1931 to William Earl Kelley and Ida Lou Kelley. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Junior Kelley, Jim Kelley and Beatrice Kelley Bozeman.
Betty is survived by her husband, Elbert Frank Parrott; her children, Barbara Hicks of Buffalo, NY, Robert Rhoades of Houston, TX, Wayne (Peggy) Parrott of Covington, GA, and Keith (Melinda) Parrott of Prattville; her grandchildren, Dawn and Hollie Hicks, Faith and Hannah Parrott and Ben (Mandy) Rivers; her great grandchildren, Winchester Parrott, Kayleigh and Kane Rivers; as well as sisters-in-law Juanita Manning and Sara Crosley, and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a long career in nursing that spanned many decades. From her roles at the hospital, at a doctors' offices, Betty spent the last 22 years of her career at a kidney dialysis center. She was a devoted nurse who was deeply loved by her patients. A member of Frazer Methodist Church, Betty enjoyed flower gardening, crossword puzzles and cooking. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her mouth-watering sweet potato pies, peanut butter cookies and delicious potato salad. And not to be forgotten, Betty was also known as a devoted Auburn football fan.
A family and friends visitation for Betty will be held Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial service at 3:00 PM.
The family would like to extend gratitude to Kindred Hospice and heartfelt appreciation to Christi and Elizabeth.
