She was the daughter of Argus and Sarah Phillips Irvin of Camp Hill, Alabama, and preceded in death by her husband Harold, of over 50 years, and siblings Ollie Sue Potts, Ben and Bo Irvin.
She is survived by sons Randy, David and Joe Rhodes, and daughter Kem Mullins. Upon graduation from Emory University with a degree in Nursing, she worked for Montgomery Medical Doctors as a Registered Nurse. Her last achievement was Head Nurse at St. Margarets Hospital.
Upon retirement, she was an active member of the Bridgeview Baptist Church, Red Cross volunteer, and state representative to the National Association of Mentally Ill (NAMI).
