Mr. Clifton was my boss from 1970-1980 when we worked in the Business Office at Alabama Christian College (now known as Faulkner University).  At the time, we entered our three children in Alabama Christian Elementary.  My position was administrative to Mr. Clifton and Cashier in the College Business Office  for the hours 8:00 - 5:00; however, because my three active children got out of school at 3:00,  Mr. Clifton reduced my working ours for me to leave at 3:00 with my children.    On another subject, when any of the teachers or staff had a problem, they loved confiding in Mr. Clifton because would know just how to solve it. He loved his family, and he would join them on short trips.    Mr. Clifton had two sisters who also worked in the Business Office.  Once, while he was on vacation with his family, we took it on our responsibility to redecorate his office without his permission!  (This was a big shock to him because he was so particular about his office decorations. )  My loss of a son in death while working for him, my husband and I found him to be the most sympathetic and loving person with a big heart and offering extra time off..   Mr. Clifton helped us all prepare for Heaven by his Christian Life, and I look forward to seeing him again one day.  Carolyn Solomon, Cashier in ACC Business from 1970-1980.

Memory of your Dad, memories of his mission reports as a student. Then later when Michelle and Greg were dating meals in your home. He and your Mom were best wedding coordinators and hosts to so many. Thankful for great memories in their home. Always felt so welcomed and taken care of. What a blessing he was because he loved us all so well.💝💝💝💝

Bro. and Sis. Clifton meant so very much to the Myers family over the years. My sisters have already mentioned the wonderful receptions done for each of our weddings.  They were close friends of our parents and we grew up with their children. I hated that I was out of town when he passed, but I want the family to know they have been in my thoughts and prayers.  We love you and are praying for you!

I have many wonderful memories of Brother & Sister Clifton with my parents. Then, when I was lucky enough to teach their son, Shannon, I was lucky enough to get to know them even more.   Lucky enough to realize, as adult,  what a wonderful, special couple they were.  They complemented each other so well.  Bro. Clifton always had such a smile on his face and such a joyous personality and a love of God. We are thinking of & praying for Sister Clifton and the entire family during this difficult time.

My husband and I will always be grateful for the beautiful wedding reception which the Cliftons did for our daughter, Lisa Solomon, as she married Marshall Reese at the Montgomery Riverfront.

Sometimes in life we pull people in because we know it will enrich our life and add goodness to our world. That is the case with my uncle Blois. I owe him so much. It was uncle Blois that talked my grandparents into letting mom go to FU and helping her to figure out how without money. Mom and uncle Blois grew up together and moms brother uncle Tom was right there with them.  At moms funeral dad was overwhelmed and wanted to find Uncle Blois for comfort.  I loved his sense of humor and his willingness to pull pranks. Life is so full of stress and hard things at times and the ability to lighten up and have fun was precious. Who was the leader of the pack that followed mom and dad on their honeymoon and rented the room next door making racket all night? None other that uncle Blois. I recall playing a prank on them when they stayed with us in Florida years ago. Halo and I waited outside the bedroom door listening until we heard aunt Lucy scream ever so daintily. Our small dog had a habit of climbing inside the pillow case and going to sleep. Aunt Lucy laid down with the light turned off  and then felt her pillow starting to walk away. It was a fun memory never forgotten.  My heart is less full, my spirit feels dim but I know he is with mom now again and that gives me inner joy. There is NOT a finer man than uncle Blois. King of hospitably with a flair no doubt and a servant among servants. Many benefited from weddings and all sorts of acts of kindness but few knew all the things he did in private for others. Uncle Blois loved the Lord with all his soul and wanted nothing more than for all  his family to serve the Lord with all their hearts. So very blessed to have the privilege to call him family. I am so very blessed to have felt his love my entire life. Blessed.  My deepest condolences to precious Aunt Lucy and all the family.

I especially remember Brother Clifton as he worked with his sweet wife to make sure everything was perfect for my wedding reception in 1975.  They did the reception for each of my three sisters, as well.   They have been very special to our family.

Great memories of how he made me feel so welcome in his home. Also loved how he used his talents to serve God, others and his wonderful family. What a blessing he has been to countless students at Faulkner University. As a student l remember his mission reports. Thankful for leadership and how well,he loved his family.
