Blondina T. Becker - Slay

Blondina Becker, of Prattville, Alabama passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at the age of 84, surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Becker was preceded in death by her husband, Samual Wayne Slay, her parents James and Ruth Ely Tomlin, and her sister Jane Weatherford. She is survived by her children and grandchildren; James Richard Brockman (Rita), grandson, Michael Brockman of Beaumont, Texas, Roland Sims Brockman of Houston, Texas and Barbara Brockman Wages (Michael) of Wetumpka. Alabama, granddaughter, Kristie Hutto (Kelley) and Seth Scheurer (great-grandson) of Alamogordo, New Mexico, grandson, Kyle Curenton of Huntsville, Alabama, step-daughter, Stacey Slay-Tollison (Bobby) and grandsons, John David and James Douglas Tollison of Helena, Alabama, step-son, Brent Slay (Shae), granddaughter Anna Claire Slay and grandson, Mason Slay of Montgomery, Alabama and her brother, James Tomlin (Frances) of Akin, South Carolina.

Born on September 9, 1935, in Stanton, Virginia, Mrs. Becker was employed by Sebastian Spering Kresge and Kmart Corporation for twenty plus years.

A Graveside Service will be held for Mrs. Becker on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at 1:30 PM in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Winston Brooks officiating.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the countless family members, friends and neighbors who have reached out with messages of love and support and to Kindred Hospice of Montgomery, Alabama for the outstanding care provided. She will forever be remembered as a dedicated and hard working mother and grandmother. She was loving, kind, admired and respected by all who knew her.
