

Bob Allie passed away peacefully at his Lake Martin home on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the age of 87, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on September 16, 1937 in Anniston, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents James Thomas and Evelyn (Montgomery) Allie; three brothers Jerry, Jimmy and Mike Allie; and one sister Nancy Rawls.
Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jackie (Pyron) Allie; three sisters Brenda (Kim) Lewis, Gayle Pike and Debbie Rawlinson; four daughters Cindy (Lance) Tucker, Terri (Bob) Gulsby, Bobbie (Chris) Weiler and June Nolen; ten grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Bob was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, Class of 1957. He served in the Navy Reserves for 8 years. He was president of the Montgomery Home Builders Association in 1980 and inducted into the Montgomery Home Builders Association Hall of Fame. He built many of Montgomery’s finest homes and continued building or remodeling homes until his death.
Bob was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Santuck Baptist Church. He was an avid Alabama football fan and fisherman. He enjoyed frying fish and smoking ribs for family and friends at his lake home. He will be forever remembered.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:00am at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, Alabama with Rev. Ben Nobles of Santuck Baptist Church officiating. Visitation hours will be at 10:00am prior to the service. The burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama.
The family would like to thank Amanda, Ashley, Dustin, Emily and Tracey with Ivy Creek Hospice in Wetumpka, Alabama and also Betsy Driggers, retired R.N., for all the loving care they provided our father in his last days.
