Bobby Guest

Robert “Bobby” Edmund Guest, 77, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at Leak Memory Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 2:00PM at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Mark Osgood officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McKenzie, AL following the service. Bobby played football at McKenzie High School and later joined the Army National Guard. He retired from L&N/CSX Railroad and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. After his retirement he went to work with Leak Memory Chapel as a Funeral Service Attendant. Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Butts; father, Roy Lomax Guest; stepfather, Jesse Butts; grandfather, John Thomas McClure; and brothers, Alton Guest and William Edwin Butts. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Guest; son, Thomas (Salina) Guest, daughter, Wanda (Ronnie) Downs; daughter, Ramona Lynn Lindsey; son, Robert Allison Guest; grandchildren, Courtney (Darrell) Gibbs, Tia (Michael McNeer) Adams, Tara Adams, Toby Allison Guest, Abigail Hope Guest; and great grandchildren, Jody Mitchell McNeer, Mary Jane, and Avery and Emily Gibbs. Pallbearers will be Al Guest, Toby Guest, Robert Stanley Guest, Jason Butts, Steve Lindsey, Ken Stillings, Jamie Willis, and Steven Hartsfield. Honorary pallbearers will be the BLE Brotherhood and the employees of Leak Memory Chapel who worked with Bobby. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hillview Terrace for the care they gave Bobby during his time there.
