Calvin C. Pelt, 84, of Montgomery passed away on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012. Calvin was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and worked for the State of Alabama from 1981 until 1991. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Ruby and his granddaughter Amber Nicole Pelt, he is survived by his daughters: Ava (Stephen) Goodin and Jenny (Marty) Reader, both of Lawrenceville, Ga.; Son: Ronnie Pelt and Jason (fiancé Fanta Sanford) Pelt, both of Montgomery; Sister: Mildred Charleston of Florida; Grandchildren: Emily (Ryan) Langenderfer, Laura (Tim) Youngblood, Anna (Robby) Triest, Joshua (Jennifer) Goodin, Sarah (Derek) Tiller, Lauren and Erin Reader; Great Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Brianna and Olivia Langenderfer, and Madison Tiller. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at Leak Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Wednesday at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Michael Cassity officiating.
