Carol Wood

Carol Wood, age 82, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. Born in Alabama to Hoyt and Katherleen Melton, she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy D. Wood; her daughter, Melissa Johnson; and her brother, Tim Melton. Carol is survived by her son, Jeff Wood; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Kalan) Sides and Michael (Hayden) Johnson; 5 great grandchildren; her sister, Jane (Johnny) Justiss; her brother, Chris Melton; and several nieces and nephews.

An employee of the State of Alabama for over 40 years, Mrs. Wood loved Elvis, her family and ballroom dancing.

Pallbearers will be Kalan Sides, Joey Johnson, Michael Johnson, Scott Justiss and Greg Justiss.

A friends and family visitation for Carol will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A graveside will follow at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
