

Carolyn Rothschild, 79, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 after a brief illness. Carolyn was born in Pensacola, Florida on January 22, 1941 to the late Jack and Inez Toney.
Carolyn’s father was in the Army and she spent time in Germany with her family at an early age. Afterwards, she lived in Pensacola, Florida and then Mobile, Alabama. She attended school at Pensacola Jr College where she met her husband Nikki Rothschild and they have been together ever since. They both transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi to finish their degrees. She was devoted to her four children spending time with them as their Girl Scout leader where she loved to go camping. She also taught Sunday school at Temple Beth Or. She owned and ran Mark Hall, a Hallmark card and gift store for years alongside her husband’s camera and computer store, Mel’s Photo Shop. Later, she worked for Books a Million because she has a passion for reading and then she became a legal secretary to work with her husband Nikki again. Carolyn was an also an avid music lover and has a large collection of her favorite songs. Her other favorite pastime was enjoying movies with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Adler “Nikki” Rothschild, four beautiful daughters, Kimberly Zimmerman (David) of Fairhope, Alabama, Karen Korshak of Roswell, Georgia, Kelly Green (Craig) of Tallassee, Alabama, and Kacie Reisman (Jeff) of Suwanee, Georgia; one brother, Terry Toney (Elise, deceased) of Montgomery, Alabama, sister Cindy Hodges (Theron) of Mobile, Alabama; Eleven Grandchildren, Richard Rothschild Zimmerman, Elizabeth Adler Zimmerman, Sydney Nicole Korshak, Jacob Ryan Korshak, Harmony Faye Green, Kassidy Rose Green, Connor Robert Green (Holly), Cara Green England (Aarick), Jared Matthew Reisman, Micah Aaron Reisman and Eliana Blake Reisman.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 1:00pm at Oakwood Cemetery Eternal Rest in Montgomery, Alabama.
